In 1990, Dave Metzler opened the doors of Carlisle Carrier Corp. with two decades of industry experience, 5 trailers, 4 owner operators, and one client. Over the past ten years we have experienced significant growth. Our company, employing 225 people, now constitutes a fleet of 175 tractors and 500 trailers, servicing 115 active clients through more than 36,000 shipments annually.

This family-owned and family-oriented regional truckload carrier has succeeded where many have failed. A strategic business focus, the dedication of our employees, loyalty of our clients and a commitment to outstanding service have fueled this company's growth and success.

Throughout our history we have committed to, and heavily invested in, the use of technology in all aspects of our business. We have taken advantage of a variety of tools to improve communications, optimize asset utilization, drive increased efficiencies into our process, and in whole better manage our business so our customers can better manage theirs.

In the last year we completed construction of a new office building and a 4-door warehouse/dock, renovated our existing facility into a drivers lounge and training facility, acquired and improved an adjacent 9-acre parcel of land to provide overflow parking, and expanded our shop in order to bring all our equipment maintenance in house.

Conveniently located in south central Pennsylvania we specialize in servicing grocery warehouses in the northeast but we have taken advantage of many opportunities to grow and diversify our service offerings. In conjunction with our sister company, Carlisle Logistics Services, we have expanded into dedicated services, direct to store delivery, traffic management, short term warehousing, cross docking, out of territory capabilities, claims and freight bill processing, jockey services and drop lot rental.
